I am currently 9 months pregnant and going thru all of the baby books that I have received, and by far this one is my absolute favorite!! Unlike the other baby books I received, this one has pages for expectant parents to fill out. My husband and I have enjoyed going thru and reminiscing on all sorts of wonderful memories we have had, like the moment we found out we were pregnant and sharing how we felt. Most of the other books do not really begin until AFTER baby is born, so its nice to have this little quite moment with my husband to look back at all we have been thru together thus far. It has helped us rekindle some really sweet memories (which at 9 months pregnant, I welcome!). I also love that there is a keepsake pocket, we have been inserting all of our latest sonograms in there. I highly recommend this book, it also has a nice padded "hard" cover, so it feels really nice to the touch.

I am so happy with this little book. Was even better in person! Covers before birth through age five. The colors are sweet and subdued, illustrations or snoopy and Woodstock inside to go along with each page and section. It’s a sturdy hardcover so it can stay on baby’s bookshelf and will weather the years, and pages are also thicker for writing and repeated reviewing, adding little things you’d like to include. It’s got a little expandable pocket at the back for anything you’d like to keep with the book. I didn’t pay attention to dimensions so it is a little larger than I thought it was going to be which is great! It’s got plenty of room and sections for pictures, place to put their hospital bracelet, question/information prompts to share with your child who their parents were, when we found out we were having them, when they were born, and has additional cute snoopy themed sections for every month of baby’s first year, for their first birthday, then a section for each year through age 5. Not overly complicated, keeps things simple and through and allows you to add the details that are important to you (month-by-month has basic info at the top then most is in a freestyle format so you don’t have to have the same exact thing for each month). Very happy!

Adorable illustrations and lots of places to record tidbits about baby's first year. Actually, this product goes all the way to 5 years old, though its main focus is the first year. I saw this at another retailer, but this was cheaper. No damage on the cover when I received it, perfect condition.

This was really really adorable! I bought it as a baby shower gift for a mom to be and filled out the first couple pages with pictures for her. She was so so happy with it!! The only thing I wish was there were room to put more than one picture of each life event.

Beautiful baby book! Bought for my first boy and I love it! The pages are good with enough space to write & attach pics + cute animations & page decor of the peanut gang. Has pages for back story of parents, family, birth and every month all the way to the age of five. This book also has a keep sake pouch on the inside of the back cover. I must say, the creators of this book was very thoughtful. I'm more than satisfied with this product. No complaints.

This book did a good job introducing complex social issues and injustices on a level that my seven year old could understand. The book provided enough detail to serve as a springboard for further discussion without being so long that she lost interest in the subject.

These are great books. All of the Who Was books are excellent for young readers. My daughter gets very excited when she can teach us a little something about history and she seems to truly find things interesting. I think this is a great read for grades 3 and 4

I'm not a fan of Charles River Media's books. They don't have color illustrations, aren't well proofread and just generally seem cheaply put together.Despite all that, Illustrating with Macromedia Flash Professional 8 is a must-have book for anyone using Flash. Firebaugh's use of Flash as an illustration tool is mind blowing, using simple vector tools to create photo-realistic images.The problems of being published by CRM are evident though. The black & white pictures make it hard to judge what's going on and there are a few confusing typos and mis-wordings. (he often says "delete" when he really means "cut") You end up stuck having to have the FLA files right in front of you while you read. It's a good way to learn, but rather inconvenient.I don't want to come off as down on this book just because I don't like the publisher. There's tons of great learning in this book. The source files are set up so you can poke through each step and see how things are put together. Also there are exercises at the end of each chapter to practice what you've learned.All in all, Illustrating with Macromedia Flash Professional 8 puts you on the path the to do things with Flash you never thought were possible.

This book stresses that Flash is also capable of producing high-quality photorealistic illustrations. To get the most out of the book you should have some experience with Flash. As such, I consider it an intermediate level book.This is the second edition of this book, with the new edition focusing on more advanced illustrating projects, covering the new features built into Flash Professional 8, and covering points discovered since the first edition appeared.The format of the book is basically a tutorial. It starts with simple line art, like you might use to illustrate assembly instructions for a bookcase. From there it goes on to more complex items eventually getting up to what the author calls 'photorealistic.' The images are close to photo quality. As some of these illustrations are quite complex, they are included on a CD supplied with the book.Using Flash as the way to generate illustrations increases the utility of the program, their data storage formats are smaller than those of many other programs, and of course animation is available.
