A good read but really not as good as the first. The plot was just too OTT with motives and suspects whilst the characters just seemed a tad off from the first book. Okay we all want to better ourselves but she was willing to ' sell her soul to the devil ' to do so. Frankly I thought the main character had more integrity and moral standards for that (at least that the impression I got from the first book).A new cruise and she's been assigned to make sure that only the most positive aspects of life and the celebrity they had on board to shine through. A celebrity chef who was going to give demonstrations and classes. His wife however was acting like Cruella de Vil on speed. There was a stalker involved too and the personal friend of the Director. A murder, a poisoning, attacks and a falling out are just some of the antics that occur. But will they lead to the killer?

This is the second book in an A. R. Winter's series with characters and a cruise ship setting that I enjoy. While each book is totally a stand alone, there are several hints to keep the reader wanting to read the next in the series. Naturally, I want to know why CeCe has a master key for the entire she and what happened last summer on Adrienne's road trip. The plot for this book was clear and the murderer's motivation was reasonable. I do wonder if there will be a murder to solve on every cruise.

I liked the characters of Adrienne and Cece. They are adventurous and try to solve the mystery of who killed the cruise director’s friend. There is a romance budding between Adrienne and Ethan. What was strange and seemed out of character was that Adrienne was thinking of working for a mentally ill contolling wife of a chef. Very odd - no real explanation given. No answer either to postcards left for her about last summer.

Another fun cruise with Adrienne and the crew! This time it's a Celebrity Chef cruise with cooking classes and demonstrations. Sounds like fun until someone gets murdered. Adrienne just has to look into it and winds up almost getting killed herself. Very entertaining cozy!I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Though being only the second book in this we series, I’m definitely a big fan. Adrienne has the sleuthing bug and she’s good at it. Her friends are hilarious, the things they get into definitely add the humor. She has a very slight romance brewing and I enjoy their scenes together. The mystery was great and I loved reading it!

I really enjoy the light reading of cozy mysteries, especially when they involve Cruise Ships. I particularly enjoyed the humor laced throughout this book. I enjoyed AR Winters style of writing and the characters involved. If you like Cozy Mysteries, I highly recommend this book.

Very easy read if you like mystery books. A.R. Winters delivers a light easygoing style that keeps you coming back for more. Addy, Cece, and Sam make me laugh not only the the antics they get up to but the twists their love lives take. Just make her the cruise director already :)

The second in the series didn’t disappoint! I love the high jinks they get up to as they stumble to figure out who did it! It is refreshing to have a good clean mystery that not only keeps you guessing but has you laughing along the way! Love all of A.R. winters books that I have read!

I'm experiencing my first black lab so this book was helpful with tips on training and giving me ideas on how to keep her interested. She has really learned to appreciate the water in the lake and river nearby.

279 pages of detailed information with NO INDEX. A good book otherwise, but you should know that although there is a Table of Contents, THERE IS NO INDEX. So, good luck finding info on "teething" (or whatever) unless you want to page through the book. This is a cheap shortcut used by publishers who are perfectly aware that they're not providing what is reasonably expected in a book of this type.

We were given a lab that was found as a stray. He has strong urges to hunt and run. It was interesting to me, among other things that this is common to labs and that it takes at least 4 months to get them acclimated to a new environment. For young and old dogs alike, this book covers it all.

Thank you to Linda for this comprehensive look at the Labrador Retriever. She's been able to gather many experts in the breed from two countries to help educate both the new people and the old hands in the breed. I recommend this book and have purchased copies to give as gifts to people with new Labrador puppies in the family.

We are long time Lab owners and are current Lab, Wrigley is #8 for us. After having Labs for a long time, we thought we knew a lot about the breed, but Linda has written a really great book that all Lab owners and lovers should keep on their book shelf. Even though Labs are an awesome breed, they are also complicated, so it's always a good just to pick up the book and learn things about the breed that we never knew before. We highly recommend this book, great work Linda Whitwam!!!

I liked the scope of the topics covered, and that the book is quite easy to read. It is not too detailed but gives good basic information. We are training our third labrador and still found new and helpful information!

This is an excellent book, concise, yet thorough account of the Labrador Retriever. It is written in a manner that is easy to understand. I appreciate the author's inclusion of advise/opinions from a number of Lab breeders throughout the UK and USA. Illustrations and photographs are very appropriate, We have been Labrador Retriever owners for 26 years and can recommend this book to both prospective and new Lab owners.

I will definitely be handing it out to the girls!! However, not without some comments and probably some parts blacked out. Here are a few concerns:I HATE THE TITLE. The concept of good girls vs. bad girls is so wrong. I understand how the author is using those terms, but I just feel like it’s an unfortunate choice, and not nearly as powerful as what I think the real concept is: counter-culture sex. We need to reform and recapture sex as something that God made to be an expression of love and unity, and a picture of Christ and the Church. This is for all those strong women who want God’s best for their marriage and family, including sex. It contains lots of wisdom for helping us navigate the errors of our culture and some common errors found in Christian sub-culture, and “good girl/bad girl” just doesn’t do that concept justice.Then there are the “Good Girl Dares.” I put black tape over most of these. It’s not that I object to anything they suggest (nothing suggested is “dirty” or wrong) – it’s the fact of suggesting that I object to. Here are three reasons why, written to an engaged girl:The first is just the fun that you would miss out on of coming up with these things on your own. Some of them you will think of within your first year. Others maybe not ‘til your tenth. Still others, maybe never, but then – what will you really be missing, if you’re satisfied with your relationship 25 years from now, and are still growing in love for each other? So take the time to come up with your own little games, flirts, special sex treats – you don’t need a cleaned-up version of Cosmopolitan magazine.Second, there is the danger of a sensitive woman, eager to please her man, feeling pressure that she has to be willing to do all these things in order to be a good lover. And thinking that if she doesn’t feel comfortable with one or more of them there’s something wrong with her or she’s a prude. Remember that this author has nearly twenty five years of learning and getting more comfortable with her husband. Why shouldn’t you have the chance to learn over time and at a pace that suits you, too?Third, any young husband who reads these suggestions will likely want to try every one of them. This week. There could be the temptation for a man to feel discontented if his sex relationship isn’t there yet, or if his wife isn’t ready for something that sounds quite good to him. Which will only make his wife feel more pressure, and PRESSURE IS THE ENEMY OF GOOD SEX.If you ever find yourself in the position of wanting some suggestions for spicing up your love life, first ask your husband. In fact, I can't emphasize enough - START TALKING FROM DAY ONE about what you and he each want, what feels good, what you might like but aren’t sure (and feel free to change your mind!) If you ever feel like you need more ideas, order an unaltered copy of the book. My guess is that, with lots of time and trust and learning to be more vulnerable with each other, a book of ideas won’t be necessary. But some people do find them helpful, and this one is certainly better than Sheet Music (a popular Christian book that is chock-full of tons of pressure, I mean suggestions from an old pro) or Cosmo.The last change I’ve made is to add underlines and notes. I found this book to be a real gift to women – very straight-forward and open. Much of what we try to tell girls in marriage prep is here, where they can read it in private. However, the author is not as careful to balance some of her statements as I would like her to be, especially for that sensitive, eager-to-please woman I mentioned earlier. That woman sometimes needs to have the pressure taken off preemptively. So I make some balancing notes in addition to underlining some things I think are excellent and helpful.Overall, this is a winner. But I feel like it needs a bit of an overhaul – get rid of the title (and its repetition of the good/bad girl theme throughout the book) and the “dares,” and it would be 75% better.

OMG! I would recommend this book to any girl getting married or to young married couples- even to couples who have been married a while! I read this book right before I got married, being I was a virgin and marriage would be all new territory for me, and it helped answer so many questions in a modest, biblical way, yet showed you ways that you could have fun in the bedroom and not feel guilty about it. It helped me realize that sex in marriage is amazing and wonderful and beautiful. I will definitely be buying this book over and over to give to my friends before they get married.

As the wife of a youth pastor as at a local community church, my husband and I regularly facilitate pre-marital counseling together for young couples whom he's officiating for. I found this book when doing some research, so that I could provide better answers for the brides I have a "talk" with. I wish I found this book years ago. It would have helped me answer girls questions better as well as given them a good resource to get their questions answered. Even though I've been married almost 13 years, I still enjoyed the book and found it encouraging for my marriage in general. Its a Christian book, with a solid Christian view of marriage, but she definitely has a "free in Christ" position on sex, which may make some of her suggestions shocking to conservatives. She also covers all kinds of issues/challenges, emotions, medical questions, and surveys from people of what's normal, understanding men, what scripture says, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is getting married, just got married, is struggling in this area, or just wants some encouragement in this area of their marriage.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0310334098?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

My husband and I will be celebrating our 5 yr Anniversary this December. And I am already at the point where our “sex life” is very stale. He wants it, I want to get it over with. There has got to be more to sex then this!!! Let me tell you, this book has been a God send; where before I was thinking, “ why does he need it so much? How can I get out of it tonight?” I am putting to practice ideas from this book, the “Good Girl Dares” in this book really made me step out and light my own fire for my husband.I also read certain parts to my husband that I wanted to discuss with him. He himself enjoyed those discussions. I highly recomend this book.“ It’s the wanting to make your spouse happy that makes sex fabulous.” Quote from pg 42There are so, so, many good points in this book. Even if you are single and getting ready to be married, I wish I had had this book, it would have saved me some heartache around years 3 and 4 of my marriage.
